Endothelial differentiation gene 1, also known as S1PR1 (sphingosine-1-phosphate-receptor-1), flanked by AarI B-C sites.

EDG1 binds lipid signaling molecule S1P (sphingosine-1-phosphate), inducing cell-cell adhesion. It is involved in processes that regulate differentiation of endothelial cells.
